Aretha: A Woman Falling Out Of Love, the much-anticipated new album from the undisputed “queen of soul,” was made available exclusively at Walmart stores and Walmart.com beginning on May 3. The CD features eleven tracks – including the debut single “How Long I’ve Waited” plus one bonus track. It's Franklin’s 38th studio album in an amazing career that has seen her win no fewer than 18 Grammy® Awards. The album, is the very first on the legendary artist’s own label, Aretha’s Records and is reflective of the great diversity of material and styles at which Aretha excels, offering ballads, blues-infused tracks as well as an acknowledgment of gospel roots in the duet “Faithful” with Karen Clark-Sheard. As the album's executive producer, Franklin's vision for the project was fulfilled in no uncertain terms. She's tapped into many genres of music that she has addressed during her vast and legendary career -- pop, blues, jazz and, of course, soul. The album is, clearly, a work that is contemporary and classic which is evidenced by her collaborations with both modern day hit makers and established masters.
